Disneyland for Christmas 2011

We are leaving for Disneyland in just over a week for our 2011 Christmas Vacation.  Last year we were unable to take a Christmas trip to Disneyland or Walt Disney World and we all greatly missed Disney's special Christmas magic.

This year we are going and we are all very excited.  I personally can't wait to see 'it's a small world holiday' and the Very Merry Christmas Parade.  The holiday fireworks and the snow on Main Street are things that have the power to give me chills and create tears of joy.

ElecTronica is still happening at Disney's California Adventure and we are planning on enjoying that one more time before it becomes part of Yesterland.  It will be fun to see Laser Man again, and just be in the excitement of the grid.

Two days before we leave for Disneyland I have an appointment with my knee surgeon.  He will give the okay for me to walk or not walk this trip.  If it were today that I was seeing him, he would not allow me to walk.  Hopefully things will really change between now and next Wednesday so I don't have to use a scooter again.  But if I have to use one I will again deal with the issues and just have a great time.

After all, scooter or not, I will be in the most Magical place on Earth at the most Magical time of year.  I can't ask for more for Christmas this year since Peace on Earth is a wasted wish this year.  Disneyland the week before Christmas.

This trip we are trying a new Character meal.  We have eaten at Storyteller's Cafe for dinner before, but we have never done the Character Breakfast before.  I am looking forward to trying something new, and enjoying some Eggs Benedict, which I can't get at Minnie's Character meal or at Goofy's Kitchen.

On Sunday we will be eating at ESPN Zone so that we can see the Bronco Game.  I usually would not want to do this but this year they will be playing New England.  A good team.  It should be fun to watch and play games with Alex.

Yes, our trip is going to be Magical.  Seeing the lights, hearing the sounds, and tasting the treats of the season is something I absolutely love doing at the Disneyland Resort in California.

I hope you and yours have a fantastic Holiday Season as well, filled with the Magic that only you can create!
