Disneyland's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Big Refurb

Disneyland's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has begun a 9 month, 4 million dollar refurbishment which will kept it closed for most of 2013.  Known changes are new ride vehicles, replaced tracks and painting. A larger unloading and loading area will also be constructed.

If the refurb goes well there is a rumor that the 3rd act, the 'falling  rocks' will be enhanced or replaced.

The Big Thunder trail which runs from Frontierland to Fantasyland will be closed for part of Janurary because of the refurb.
