Giving Thanks
?
This past year has really had its ups and downs. January started off full of snow and beauty and memories of our 2007 Christmas trip.
?
April came and we were able to go back to Disneyland again. A great time was had by all of us.
?
June came, and our first trip to Walt Disney World coincided with a business trip Andy was taking. A very short time at the Resort, but again, we had a wonderful time.
?
Shortly after that trip in June I lost my favorite Uncle and my beloved Mom in a four day period. With those horrible losses, I also lost my love of all things Disney.Â
?
Thanks to a wonderful husband and son, and my greatest friends on our message boards I was able to regain my love of all things Disney thanks to their love of me.
?
October came and we prepared for our first ever Halloween trip to Disneyland. We enjoyed Mickeyâ????s Trick or Treat party, the wonderful seasonal decorations, and again a good time was had by all.
Â
November brought Thanksgiving, and my first one since my Mom passed away. In October the rest of my immediate family left the state for new adventures elsewhere. It was a very sad Thanksgiving week for me. Then the day dawned and I realized how lucky I am to have friends and family to share the day with. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Â
Today, December 1st, leads into the Christmas season. Yes, we are taking what is becoming an annual trip to Disneyland for Christmas.
Â
Amazingly enough I am really excited to see â??˜itâ????s a small worldâ????. I never thought I would miss that attraction, but I was wrong! The new Sleeping Beauty Walk Through, and Pixie Hollow are two new attractions I canâ????t wait to see.
Â
Yes, this year has had its good and bad moments. I am very thankful for so many things:
Â
 - My husband and son, who both mean the world to me
 - My friends who have stuck by me through thick and thin
 - Disney. All things Disney, but especially Disneyland â??" my second home.
Â
I do have a lot to be thankful for. Our future awaits!
