Test Track was a high-speed 'slot' car ride in the Future World land in EPCOT at Walt Disney World. A slot ride means the car is guided/controlled by a slot on the track. The ride includes a detailed queue that mimicked a repair and test shop. You snacked through the 'shop' seeing various car parts and various tests to be performed on cars including a room of crash test dummies. You then have a pre-show where the narrators descript and show on video screens the various tests performed and which you will be experiencing. The ride itself take place partially indoors where you are taking through a set of tests in your car; including different types of road construction, braking, steering through a cone course, and environmental tests. You then exit to the outdoors where you take a high speed (64.9 MPH) trip around a loop over a parking lot before returning to the ride building. Test Track originally opened March 1999 and this video was taken in 2010. In late 2012 was re-themed to 'Test Track Presented by Chevrolet'. The theme was changed from a 'test center' to a 'design center'. The pre-show became interactive where you 'design' your car and then you test the Capability, Efficiency, Responsiveness or Power on the track. You now exiting into a Chevrolet show room. In our opinion the new theming is no where as good as the original and has become a big commercial.
