50's Prime Time Cafe Review, April 2008

50’s Prime Time Café
Location: Disney Hollywood Studios
Time of Reservation: 6:55pm
Cost for 2 adults and 2 children $69.12 (but we were on the dining plan)

Upon check-in we was informed that they were running behind and we would be seated as soon as possible. We were seated within 20 minutes of arrival. We was greeted and welcomed home by “Uncle Dale” “Uncle Dale” demanded we seat the table and for my husband to mind his manners and remove his hat. “Uncle Dale” had us chose our drinks and gave the adults the choice of a milk shake for our drink but that wasn’t extended to the children. This was a little disappointing for my son but hubby offered to get a milkshake and share with the kids. So the kids got the Kid’s Pick meal and one got chicken nuggets and fries and the other got chicken noodle soup, chicken nuggets and fries. Both got ice cream sundaes for dessert. Actually again my husband and I chose the same entrée; meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans. While waiting for our meal “Uncle Dale” kept us so entertained we had such a great server and he was very interactive with his “family”. “Uncle Dale” was constantly teasing my little girl and referred to her as “Cindy” the whole evening because she was dressed as Cinderella. During our meal we would have to respond every time when “Uncle Dale” asked what his favorite milkshake is, which is the PB& J. He hand fed my daughter her food with her fork refusing to give her the ice cream until she took one last bite. He teased us for grabbing a view master to look at all the dessert selections also. Troy chose the brownie sundae and I had the angel food cake with strawberries on top. Both desserts were great. While we was finishing our desserts “Uncle Dale” couldn’t resist teasing Kyan some more and threaten to give her a kiss. This sent her under the tables with tons of giggling and squealing.

We loved everything about this place and our interaction this trip was totally unforgettable however our entrées were forgettable. When we go back I think we will have to try something beyond the meatloaf since we had it the past two visits.

This meal gets an 8 out of 10.
