Disney On Ice Disneyland Adventure - Featuring the Incredibles Review

This wonderful show opens with Mickey and Minnie, as your hosts for the show.  It quickly moves on to show the Parr family getting ready for a vacation to Disneyland.  They want to make this trip a non Super one, and just go to have family fun.

Of course, that is not possible.  They arrive at Disneyland and are chosen to be Grand Marshall’s for the parade that afternoon.  They decide to ride some of the attractions, and during the show, you will hear music and see scenes from the Teacups, Jungle Cruise, Tiki Room, It’s A Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean, SpaceMountain and the HauntedMansion.

Their wonderful day at the park is interrupted however by a Syndrome Robot, his evil Robot and army of followers.  Syndrome kidnaps Mickey and Minnie, greatly upsetting Dash, who wanted to see them on his trip to Disneyland.  You will see the Incredibles, helped by Frozone, defeat the dastardly Syndrome and his followers, as well as the robot. They are able to free Mickey and Minnie with their super powers and the show begins the final skits.

Disney on Ice has its own version of the Disney Electrical Parade.  While the music is a bit different, it is very recognizable.  The lighting of SleepingBeautyCastle can bring tears to the eyes of any Disneyland fan.

Being Disney, this is a very happy show, and a lot of fun to watch.  Costumes are very well done, the storyline moves quickly, and the song and skating routines are simply fantastic.  One of the best routines in this show is the Pirates of the Caribbean skit, which is very well done.

A few things of note about this Disney on Ice show.  Popcorn and Cotton Candy can only be purchased with an Incredible’s character mask.  This makes both items very expensive, so be aware of that when you attend the show.  Other merchandise for the show include Princess items, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Donald items, a show CD that includes songs from other Disney on Ice Shows ($25.00), and a full color program.  Of course there is also a wide selection of Incredible’s merchandise, a few shirts, and more!

Characters in this show include Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy of course, as well as the Incredibles/Parr family with a baby Jack Jack.  Also seen are Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter, Snow White, Baloo, Buzz Lightyear and Chip and Dale to name a few.    Edna E. Mode, Frozone and Syndrome are familiar characters from the film the Incredibles.

Disney on Ice:  Disneyland Adventures, featuring the Incredibles is a wonderful show.  It was thoroughly enjoyed by our family, including our 4 year old son, who smiled throughout the show.  I liked it enough that I wanted to purchase tickets for the next day to see it again.  We didn’t since we are going to Disneyland, but we will definitely be at the next Disney on Ice production in our area.  I highly recommend this show, for boys or girls.  It was enjoyed by everyone in the crowd as well as our family.
