Disney's Honorary Volunteers Cavalcade

Each day before the evening parade you will see the Volunteer Cavalcade on the Parade Route.  This occurs approximately ten minutes before the Parade itself.

Since 2010 is the year of Give A Day, Get A Day, Disney has added this event to showcase some of those wonderful people who were able to Volunteer.

The Volunteers ride in the Main Street Vehicles, and will go the full Parade Route.

Sounds a bit boring if you don't have a family member in the Cavalcade, doesn't it?

Wrong.  The upbeat Give A Day music is roaring over the loud speakers, and Miss Piggy and Kermit are doing some occasional talking.  Three or four floats full of strangers come through, and then you get the payoff for watching.

The final float is the one you don't want to miss because both Miss Piggy and Kermit are in full view of everyone.

Yes, for all of you who absolutely love the Muppets, there you have it!  And they are not the only Muppets to appear.  Other well-loved Jim Henson characters are actually walking the parade route.  Yes, this is Muppet nirvana.  Very special eye-candy for all who watch the Volunteer Cavalcade.

And just to let you know, you have to get a seat early because Disney's Celebrate:  A Street Party follows the Cavalcade.  So sit down, relax and enjoy the ambiance of Disneyland.  Try listening to what people are saying as they walk by.  It can be a real hoot to get snippets of conversations.  But no matter how you do it, if you love the Muppets, you want to watch the Cavalcade.
