La Quinta Inn & Suites Review

Disneyland trip Dec 04'

I was very pleased with our stay at the La Quinta Inn & Suites. We stayed there for 4 nights right before Christmas. We reserved the Children's Suite. It had a queen bed in the front and a twin/full bunk bed in the back separated by French doors. It had everything I expected in a suite to include, microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. One nice feature of the Children's suite was it had 2 TV's, one for each area. The TV's made it nice to be able to watch the news while the kids watched cartoons. The property had limited garage parking but we managed to get a spot every night, which was nice. We went to the pool area on our first night. It was bigger than average for a hotel of that size and had a spa as well. The kids enjoyed the time swimming and playing after the long drive. We ate breakfast every morning at the hotel. They had a wonderful continental breakfast, which included eggs, bacon, and the usual cereal, muffins, and fruit. I was very pleased with the breakfast offerings, it filled us up which enabled us to go light for lunch. We did not utilize the exercise room on our stay (walked enough the 3 days in the parks) but it looked to offer basic cardio type equipment. The hotel also had a small store on the one of the upper levels where they offered some cheaper souvenirs T-shirts, mugs, and pens as well as the usual hotel items. I guess it was close enough to walk to the parks, but I would not recommend it, we had free parking at the park though. It took us a few minutes to get to the parking structure, which was just a few blocks away. There is a shuttle but I believe it is not free.

Overall the hotel was clean and the service was above average. If you are looking for a nice hotel with large rooms and a good breakfast I would put the La Quinta Inn on my list of choices.
