Our Very First Annual Pass Event

On Monday the 17th of October, thanks to a wonderful person who shared her tickets with us, we were able to attend the Soundsational Parade Annual Pass Holder only Event.

This was a limited ticket event that included the parade, a close up look at the parade floats, and pictures with characters who don't roam the streets, such as the Chimney Sweeps from Mary Poppins.

Due to the small crowds we were able to ride many attractions in Tomorrowland and Fantasyland.  The boys rode Matterhorn, Star Tours (twice), and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy.  Alex and I rode Mr. Toad, Pinocchio's Daring Journey and Dumbo.

We all rode Star Tours, Buzz Lightyear, Alice in Wonderland and 'it's a small world'.

What was most amazing was finding a front row seat for the parade just minutes before it started.

Seeing the Soundsational Parade in the dark was amazing.  The floats looked beautiful with the lights and the bright colors.  It was electrifying to be there for this special event and the special parade presentation.

Being able to walk through Disneyland and see so few people was amazing.  It was like being there in the rain there were so few people.

We had made the decision to ride rides instead of waiting in the character lines. This was nice because we were able to go on rides without waiting more than 10 minutes or so for each.  The lines for characters were horribly long and confusing.  There was no delineation between the front of the line and the end of the line initially.  Even the Cast Members were not sure about things.  This was a total mess that I left to enjoy rides with my boys.

Would we do a pass holder event again?  In a heartbeat.  You can bet that I will be reading the Disney Blog daily since that is the only way this even was announced.  Being our first event we had no idea what to expect so went in completely open minded.

I know there were special food items and things to purchase, but we didn't eat at the event which ran from 8pm to Midnight.  We did have a blast.

The only problem was that this happened to be the night before our Halloween Party and it spoiled us for crowd levels.  It was great to be at such a limited event.

Frankie - thanks so much for the tickets!  I will never forget that you did that for us.
