A small, yet busy airport, seemingly set on the edge of the Pacific Ocean,
Lindbergh Field is a great option when flying into Southern California. Approximately 95 miles from the Disneyland Resort, the drive can be done in an hour or two. This airport is especially nice if you are planning on spending time in the San Diego area before going to Disneyland.

One thing to remember about renting a car in San Diego is that if you are returning from somewhere else, you need to check on drop fees for your rental car. Usually, you will find National with no fee, but a higher rate. Recently Alamo has had great rates with no drop fees.
Personal Review
We always look at San Diego as an option when going to Disneyland. When we intend on staying in San Diego we do fly into Lindbergh Field, rent a car, and when ready, we drive to the Disneyland Resort and return the car once we get settled into our hotel. This is a real easy airport to navigate, and is a great option!
