Tomorrowland Indy Speedway Review, June 2008

Tomorrowland Indy Speedway

The Tomorrowland Indy Speedway is the MagicKingdom’s ride for children who want to drive.  While your child must be 52” tall to drive, it is easy for an adult to push the gas pedal while the child steers the car.

The Indy Speedway is a ride where the vehicles are on a track, so no crashes will happen when young children get behind the wheel.  This attraction runs a complete circle on a racetrack that is a miniature version of the one used for the Indianapolis 500 each year.  There are no backwoods areas to drive through or highways to go under in this attraction.

If you have been to Disneyland and ridden Autopia, you will see that the Indy Speedway attraction pales in comparison to that ride.  While adults may really notice this and find this ride especially boring, it still is a favorite among young children who simply love to drive in a car just their size.

I can recommend this attraction for children, but feel adults will be completely bored on this very short ride.
