Disney World Dining Plan Explained 2008

Walt Disney World offers two full dining plans plus a wine add on plan.  You can add the dining plans on with your Magic Your Way package (Disney hotel accommodations and tickets into the World which you customize to fit your needs).  Most (but not all) of the restaurants located within the World accommodate the dining plans.  Adding these plans on to your package not only saves you money on the cost of food, it also helps in planning your budget.  As an added bonus, you don’t have to carry cash around the World for food.  The plans offer table service, quick service and snacks.  Snacks are anything under $4 (churros, ice cream, pretzels, bottled water, soda etc.).  You can mix and match your days however you like, but the food credits expire at midnight on the day you check out.  Any credits not used are non-refundable.  For example, you are staying for 5 nights, you can use all 5 of your snacks on day one, three of your quick service meals on day two, and two table service meals on day three, if you so choose.

Magic Your Way plus Dining offers one table service, one quick service, and one snack per person, per night of your stay.  This includes most character meals (though some, like Cinderella’s Royal Table require two table service credits).

Currently, this plan is $37.99 per adult, per day and $9.99 per child, per day.  Children 3-9 must order from the children’s menu.  Children under 3 can share from their parent’s plate.  Children over 9 are considered as an adult for meals.

Magic Your Way plus Deluxe Dining offers three table service meals and two snacks per person, per night of your stay.   If you don’t think your family will use all three table service meals per day (i.e, if you all want quick lunches); this plan is not for you.  This plan is only a value if you USE all the table service meals every day!

Currently, this plan is $69.99 per adult and $19.99 per child per day.  Children 3-9 must order from the children’s menu.  Children under 3 can share from their parent’s plate.

Wine and Dine offers one bottle of wine per room, per night of your stay.  This plan can be added on to the above mentioned plans.  Some wines require two wine credits.  Note that wine is not available at the MagicKingdom.  Wine is also flexible and can be used together or daily.  This plan is currently $39.99 per room, per night of your stay.
