Hollywood & Vine is located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This restaurant is one of only three that offer a Fantasmic Dining Package. Fantasmic is the nightly firework/water work/Mickey spectacular at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. With the dining package you receive a ticket at dinner to use for the reserved seating at the 9:00 pm show. The stadium fills up quickly and totally so having these reserved seating tickets is worthwhile. You do not have to have the Fantasmic package to eat at Hollywood & Vine.
Hollywood & Vine is a buffet restaurant. The outside décor is full of lights and glitz. The real Hollywood & Vine is a spot in L.A. where all the celebrity hangouts are located. Disney’s Hollywood Studio’s Hollywood & Vine is set to resemble the glitz and glamour. You check in for the restaurant outside. The outdoor waiting area is pleasurable with lots of benches and some shade. This is a nice spot to people watch as you wait for a table.
The inside of Hollywood & Vine is decorated like a 50’s style diner. The tabletops are all Formica and everything is brightly colored in pink and turquoise. The walls have murals of the Hollywood skyline complete with the Hollywood sign and spotlights. The décor pretty much stops there. The service is good.
The buffet is located at the back of the restaurant. There are LOTS of options. The food ranges from beef to chicken; cold salad to hot sides, chicken nuggets to hot dogs. The dessert buffet is wonderful with tons of delicious options.
This restaurant lacks the Disney hoopla. It is overpriced, for a buffet. The food is good and the service is great. The Fantasmic Dining Package is awesome. Hollywood & Vine is great if you are going there to get that coveted Fantasmic ticket. If you aren’t getting the Fantasmic Dining Package, I say find someplace else to eat. There are many other options at Disney’s Hollywood Studios which are much more interactive and fun. Be sure to tell Disney Dining that you want the Fantasmic Dining Package when you book! You can’t request it when you check in. The tickets are limited so if you don’t have it on your reservation, chances are they are all gone. Also, be sure to get your ticket before you leave your table.
