Park Vue Inn Review March 2011

We booked the Park Vue Inn again because last trip we enjoyed it so much.  The free water in the office lobby was a huge plus and it saved us a lot of money.

Much to my surprise they no longer give the free water so we quickly realized how much money they DID save us in March.

The hotel is replacing the carpet in all of the rooms.  This was oh so evident to us because they sent us to the wrong room initially.  The room they sent us to had nothing IN the room except the new carpet they were installing.  Our second room was situated between two rooms being upgraded to the new carpet.

Now I have to say that hotel refurbs are wonderful.  But when you are sick with an ear infection and perforated ear drum you don't want to hear the constant pounding of carpet installation while you are trying to rest.  Yes, I know they have to do the work during the day.  But it was unfortunate that I was sick and had to hear it all day long.

I also found the pillows too hard and the bed too hard this trip.  I am not sure though if it is because I was being picky or because I was sick.

What really hurt is that we over paid for our room because of the free water, figuring that would make up the difference.  The location helped too since it is pretty much unbeatable.

That being said, we have already booked our room for October and it is NOT the Park Vue Inn.  If they are not giving the free water I will stay elsewhere for less money.

The Park Vue Inn is a good motel.  It is at the cross walk to Disneyland so the location is wonderful.  The rooms are rather large.  The bathroom area is huge, with the sink outside the toilet/bathtub area.

A coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave are in the room for your convenience.  They also offer breakfast and an evening snack that could be your dinner.  The problem is that you can't take the food back to your room.  You must eat there.

Water is not given in the lobby, but they had juices and small cups to enjoy fruit juice while in the lobby.  There were also fresh cookies on occasion.

I do feel that while I am going somewhere else I can still recommend the Park Vue Inn for the above reasons.
