The Rose & Crown is located in the United Kingdom of World Showcase at Epcot. As you walk through the World Showcase you can tell right away which building is the Rose & Crown. The Rose & Crown is a pub. There is a stand outside selling beer and the front façade of the building puts your right on the UK streets! The World Showcase is fantastic in making you feel as if you are actually in these countries. The UK is no exception. When entering the Rose & Crown you feel as though you are a local.
As you enter the restaurant you are taken to a different place and time. We didn’t actually go into the restaurant itself as we were seated out on the back patio, but I am confident that it is full of theme! The outside patio is covered and a perfect place to relax. The patio overlooks the World Showcase lagoon. The tables are all old rustic wood tables which you would picture in old UK pubs. The feeling is very fish and chips, but rest assured, that is not your only option! The view of the lagoon and the far off lands of World Showcase are relaxing and peaceful. This is a nice quiet spot amid the hustle and bustle of Epcot.
The Rose & Crown offers MANY different types of beer, wine, and a full bar. There are sodas, milk, tea, and coffee. The food at Rose & Crown is excellent. There are many options including fish and chips, bangers and mash and marinated grilled chicken breast. Kid’s Picks include pizza, Shepard’s pie, and beef and mac-n-cheese. The Rose & Crown cheese Plate is fantastic! The different tastes of all the food are fantastic. The delicious desserts include chocolate Scotch cake, Baileys’ Irish coffee trifle and frozen vanilla custard. Kid’s Picks include the usual fruit cup and make your own sundae.
Though I can’t comment on the interior of Rose & Crown, the outside seating is wonderful. This would be a great spot to have a late dinner, linger, and watch Illuminations at night. The food is fantastic. If you want a laid back atmosphere to have a tall beer and cold pop, this is the place. Don’t miss the Rose & Crown in the United Kingdom at Epcot.
