What’s Happening at Disneyland (February 4th, 2008)

 

 

General Information:

 

“it’s a small world’ is officially closed.  The water has been drained and walls are up around the attraction. 

 

Wait times for Finding Nemo are pretty consistently hanging around 75 minutes.

 

 

A new change for SplashMountain – you must now be 60 inches or taller to ride in the front seat of the log.

 

 

Paradise Pier is closed.  Enter via the path by Ariel’s Grotto to access Screamin’ and King Triton.  To access the Sun Wheel and the Maliboomer, take the path by the Zephyr and Orange Stinger.  The routes are marked.

 

Children who have reached their 3rd birthday now pay 1.00 for the ART (Anaheim Rapid Transit) one day passes.

 

Signs are now up for Pixar Play Parade.

 

Main Street – Disney Clothiers still has refurb walls but is still open for business.

 

No Fantasmic! until March 7, 2008.

 

Disney’s Electrical Parade will be showing on weekends. (Friday, Saturday and

Sunday nights)

 

Big Thunder Ranch and the Petting Zoo are still closed.  No opening date announced at this time.

 

Due to the Jams Cheer and Dance competition which is being held in the former Millionaire building, Drawn to Animation is now held in front of the AnimationBuilding, and the smoking area outside the Millionaire building has been moved to a new location.

 

 

 

Ride Closures:

 

At California Adventure:

 

Monster’s, Inc. Mike and Sulley to the Rescue remains closed until February 8th.  (one week earlier than planned!)

 

Pizza Oom Mow Mow will be closed beginning January 7th.

 

 

At Disneyland:

 

Gibson Girl Ice Cream (will reopen on Thursday February 7th)

 

Jungle Cruise (this is to be a lengthy closure – should reopen in March)

 

‘it’s a small world’ will be closed beginning January 22nd for a very extensive refurb that will continue into November of this year.
