Dreaming of 3 times this year!
It is now July 9th. Normally we would have just gotten back from Disneyland a week ago, but this year we decided to go in May instead of the last week of June. Sure we had a fantastic time. The weather was hot (unexpectedly so), the crowds were minimal, and it was a wonderful trip with a dear friend.
In May, we purchased Annual Passes. Yes, we have now joined the AP club even though we don’t live in California. Kevin, our friend we spent time with in May also purchased an AnnualPass. His was purchased in January.
So now is the quandary. How many times can we afford to go to Disneyland this year? You see, I am spoiled by the Disney Resort Hotels. I love getting early entry each day it is offered, and now that we have the annual passes, we get no early entry at all unless we stay at one of the three resort hotels.
So far, I have confirmed reservations at the Paradise Pier Hotel for December. But not knowing if we can swing that financially, I also confirmed a good neighbor hotel. In the next month or so, we will know which one we can stay at for our December trip.
In the mean time, I am also hoping for a trip to Disneyland in September or October. If we do that time period it definitely will be at a good neighbor hotel. Lower season doesn’t warrant the expenditure of the Disneyland Resort Hotels for early entry.
The question is this: can we actually afford to go three times in six months? Oh, I certainly hope so. Our amazing son certainly hopes so since all he can think about right now is Disneyland.
If we actually get to go three times in six months, our annual passes will be very much worth it. Even if we just go in December, they are still worth it. I like to get more than my money’s worth though, and in this case, that will mean more time at Disneyland. My favorite place in the world without a doubt is the Happiest Place on Earth.
So yes, throughout this rambling I am trying to say. I am dreaming of 3 trips to Disneyland in six months. Never have we had the opportunity to do that before. A girl can dream, can’t she?
