We went to Billy Hill and the Hillbillies on 2 different days on our last trip, but for the same 1PM show. We also went to the 1PM show in Jan 06.
The band is 4 members, and they play a bluegrass twanged country - but put many songs of different genres to that style. The band is 4 members, but it looks like they rotate since they do play 7 days / wk. The Golden Horseshoe does serve meals (chicken fingers / fish / chili in a bread bowl / chili fries / ice cream / kids meals), and they are good size - DH and I share. We go about 1/2 hr before the show begins to order and eat - and then watch the show. The band is fronted by Billy Hill consists of his other 3 brothers names Billy. Lots of jokes, good music and down home fun. Miss G loves this show!
I don't want to give too much away - but they are very good musicians - and will play many musical genres "Bluegrass style". We've seen an Elvis and Beatles medley on our visits. The shows we saw this trip on 2/13 and 2/15 had bits of the same - but were different in parts. If you sit close to the stage - you may get some audience participation...be forewarned.
This is a must see if you like Bluegrass - and pleasant lunch stop and 20 min respite - even if you don't! You won't be sorry you took time out of your day.
