Paradise Pier Hotel Concierge Review 2007

Paradise Pier Hotel – Concierge Service

The Paradise Pier Hotel Concierge is located in the Beachcomber room on the second floor.  It is open daily from 6:30 in the morning until 8:00 in the evening.

The Beachcomber room is nicely laid out with tables and chairs, a couch and television and even a computer and printer for concierge guests to use.

Concierge service has many features, including the use of that lobby, the rental of DVD’s at no cost, a DVD player in your hotel room and of course the free use of the computer and printer.

There is always a Cast Member in the Beachcomber lounge that will help you with dining reservations.  They are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Each night you have concierge service your beds will be turned down and you will have Mickey Mouse Ear rice krispie treats.  You will find a rose in your bathroom to enjoy as well.

From 6:30 to 11:00 each day the Beachcomber Lounge has fresh fruit, cereal boxes, pastries and milk, coffee and soft drinks.

The soft drinks and water are served all day.  Soda is in cans instead of bottles.  The water is in 8 oz bottles.

From 11:00 to 5:00 there will be snacks such as Pretzels, goldfish and a variety of cookies.

Finally, from 5:00 until the 8:00 closing, you will find appetizers such as chips and salsa, taquitos, and pretzels and goldfish.  There is also a selection of cheeses and crackers.  During this time you can also get beer or wine as you enjoy your snacks.

To access the Beachcomber lounge you need your hotel key.  Once you have reached the time of your check-out, your key will no longer work

The cost for concierge service is approximately $90.00 per night for a family of two adults and one child.

Our family just returned from a trip to Disneyland where we had concierge for the first two nights of our stay.  For us, this service is not worth $90.00 per night.  We do not spend a lot of time in the hotel to enjoy the lounge.  We did take advantage of the free soda and water.  In fact we took more water because it was in bottles.  We were surprised that the lounge did not have chocolate milk for the kids.

If you tend to spend a lot of time at the hotel, or enjoy a breakfast of fruit, pastry or cereal, I can definitely recommend concierge.  If you, like us, spend your time at the parks then I can’t recommend concierge as you will not get full use of the service.
