Tower of Terror Review 2008

Tower of Terror – A 5 year-olds Review

After being tall enough to ride Tower of Terror for 2 years, we finally got Alex on this ride.  He was a bit nervous because of the name, but we had assured him he would like it.  He enjoyed the pre-show in the library and once leaving the library the nervousness came back.

We were lined up in row 2 for our ride, and ended up talking to a young girl who loved this attraction.  That seemed to calm Alex down a bit.

Finally we were seated and our journey into the Twilight Zone began.  Tower of Terror starts out gently, easing you into the ride.  You will wave goodbye to yourself and your loved ones, again see the 5 who were on that fateful elevator so many years ago, and then the ride really begins.

The most incredible thing about this ride is the feeling of weightlessness it gives you.  Your body is only held down by the safety restraint as you defy gravity.

During the ride we could not tell if Alex was screaming, because so many others do scream.

Once we were safely back to the service elevator, I turned to ask Alex if he like the ride.  He said:  “no.  I LOVED it!”  He wanted to immediately ride again, but had to get out of line to go to the bathroom.

As one of my favorite rides, I highly recommend Tower of Terror.  This doesn’t affect my fear of heights at all.

Alex also recommends this ride to other children.  He absolutely loves Tower of Terror.
