With a narrator who will introduce each story, and the beloved Disney Characters we love so much, this Christmas video is a huge hit. New animation techniques have brought the characters to life, with animation, color, and two new songs to fill this video with life and color.
Each story in Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas carries with it an important moral, not just for Christmas, but also for everyday life. The narrator will point out the moral of each story before introducing the next story.
The first short story is titled Belle's On Ice. With Minnie, Daisy, Donald and Mickey, as well as skating alligators and hippos, Minnie and Daisy skate a fine line between friendship and anger. In this story, Minnie and Daisy take their friendship to the limits, but in the beauty of skating (with the help of Michelle Kwan) as the main even for this story, the video starts off with a bang. The great friends forget for a time that they are best friends, but in typical Disney happy ending fashion, they turn to each other and prove that friendship, and working together, causes great beauty.
Christmas Impossible is a story of Huey, Dewey, and Louie in their typical bad boy fashion. The boys use this story to try to get themselves on Santa's Good List after realizing on Christmas Eve that they are doomed this year. "We wanna be rich and selfish too," is one of the great quotes from this story. The boy's visit to Santa's Workshop is filled with action and eye candy enough to please any child. From a 3-year-old boys perspective, this story is the best!
Christmas Maximus is a story of Goofy and his love for his son Max. This short story is packed with humor and one of two original songs for this video. Max is bringing his girlfriend Mono home, and is worried that Goofy will embarrass him. The song Make Me Look Good, sung by Tom Leonard is heard throughout the story with little other dialogue. The comedic antics in this story will make anyone smile and the new song is very nice with this story. And, as it turns out Goofy does make Max look good.
Donald's Gift shows Donald in typical fashion - grumpy and daydreaming. The antagonist in this story is a song: 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas'. As Donald suffers through most of this story, in the end he saves Christmas spirit for many 'people'.
The final story on this video is one of love. The love Mickey has for his best pal Pluto. Mickey's Dog-Gone Christmas shows what can happen when Mickey gets very angry with his best friend. 'Murray' becomes well known at reindeer training, but in the end, Santa saves the day.
The second original song plays towards the end of the final story, and the whole song plays while the credits run. Share This Day, by Josh Kelley is another wonderful addition to Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas. Unlike cartoons of old, the computer animation in this video is incredible, showing these Disney friends as they have never been seen before. I highly recommend this video for all Disney lovers, children, adults, or adults who act like children; it will be cherished in your family.
